Excellence is hard. Coasting is easy. Our system lets everyone through. But the top universities and the best career outcomes are often reserved for those who have an excellent academic background.
That said, here are a few reasons to consider academic tutoring:
- If the student-teacher fit is not right. Not all teachers are created equal.
- If the student finds the content hard. Students can find the coursework difficult to manage despite having a good teacher.
- If the student's grades are slipping below 90%. Concepts build on top of one another, and it can be very hard to catch up.
If your child finds the coursework hard, and if you think he'll benefit from the additional help, I recommend starting right away. It's easier to correct course early-on.
Allowing knowledge debt to compound is stressful, leaves a sour taste for the subject, and is ultimately unproductive.
The price for our 1-on-1 Academic Tutoring are as follows:
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2: $64 for the recommended 80-minute session ($48 per hour).
Non-AP Precalculus and Calculus: $72 for the recommended 80-minute session ($54 per hour).
Yes. I expect my students to be able to commit to the following before working with me for maximum results.
Consistency beats intensity when it comes to learning. As a result, my students should allocate at least 30 minutes a day to complete targeted homework, and attend at least one full session per week.
My tutoring process is intense, but not unnecessarily difficult. At no point will my students be left to wonder what to do - Everything will be clearly outlined. All progress (time tracking, homework items, submissions, test scores) will be tracked on a live document to which both the parent and the student will have access to. As Peter Drucker says, (only) what gets measured, gets managed.
Our students start at ~70-80%, and raise their scores to the 90%+ range! Complete the form below, and we'll be in touch within 24 hours.
